Get Rid of Golf Glove Grunge
How many times have you rolled up to the first tee, reached into your golf bag to get your golf glove and pulled out a stiff, wadded up, unrecognizable object.
I've even had a few occasions when I finally uncrumpled my glove, began sliding in my fingers and watched the leather rip and disintegrate right before my eyes.
Here's something I ran across the other day that every golfer can benefit from. Its called the G3 Golf Glove Guard.
This product clips to the side of bag, costs next to nothing, and will preserve your leather golf glove for many more rounds of golf.
Here's a testimonial I pulled off of the G3 website.
"I am a product tester, and tested your product through the PGA Tour Club about six months ago. I like it so well that I purchased two more for my gloves. I live in Deep South Texas where it gets hot in the summer time, and I soak a golf glove up in two holes, so I switch gloves that often. The G3 helps keep my glove in shape and allows it to dry natural, allowing it to keep its shape and softness. I've recommended it to my golf buddies."

Site Update - Charleston Golf: The Birthplace of Golf in the U.S.
We just added a new page on Charleston golf.
Did you know Charleston, SC was the birthplace of golf in the United States? It is also the birthplace and home of PerfectGolfVacations.com.
Charleston sits in between two popular golf destinations - Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach. Even though it is the birthplace of golf in the United States most golfers on golf vacations bypass the area for other locations.
The area doesn't just have a rich history. It also has world-class golf courses. In fact, Kiawah Island's Ocean Course will host both the 2007 Senior PGA Championship and the 2012 PGA Championship.
Read more about Charleston golf and come down and visit us on your next golf vacation.

Can Sunglasses Lower Your Golf Scores?
Here's a headline that caught my eye recently.
"Polarized lenses improve game strategy and save time, giving an "eye-up" to golfers."
The RoxoR sunglasses, patented in 1998, block out the color green. This supposedly gives golfers an advantage by allowing them to see the breaks, undulations, and changes in the grain on greens.
"The human eye is most dominant and sensitive to the color green, making RoXoR golf sunglasses an ideal complement for any golfer's game strategy," explained Inventor and RoXoR President Mr. Stehager. "This kind of technology creates fewer putts per round, lowers scores, and prevents frustration over lost golf balls. Golfers will save time, and their own mental health, by playing a better game with the RoXoR."
These sunglasses have been tested on both the PGA European and LPGA Golf Tours.
You can learn more about this new optical, stroke-saving, technology at www.roxor.se. Language options are in the upper left-hand corner.

Site Update - Play Better Golf with Four New Articles
Myrtle Beach Golf Courses Report Slumping Spring
According to the Alan Blondin of Myrtle Beach's Sun News, "The Grand Strand couldn't match its record number of paid rounds played in the spring of 2004, but still recorded a relatively successful spring in 2005."
Myrtle Beach golf course owners shouldn't worry about these slumping numbers too much. This spring's numbers were still the fourth best besides 2004, 2000 and 1997.
What is a down year in the Myrtle Beach golf market?
In the months of March, April and May, golfers played 1.36 million played rounds of Grand Strand golf.
Here's a tip to remember for next spring in Myrtle Beach. It seems that the last three weeks of May continue to show a decline in rounds of golf played. If this continues, Myrtle Beach golf courses and Myrtle Beach golf package providers might begin to offer deeper discounts and incentives to bring golfers back to the Grand Strand.
Keep in mind that these weeks usually host a couple of "bike weeks" and you will have to deal with a few traffic issues. Other than that, it sounds like the golf courses in Myrtle Beach are a little less crowded.
Here's a note about another site update. We just started a new section under our Golf Resources umbrella. This section is called - Play Better Golf.
The first page added to this section is our guide to improving your game with the right exercise program to improve the biomechanics of the golf swing.
Have a safe and happy holiday weekend. An extra day off work means an extra day of golf!
